The Palestinian Insurance Federation concluded its participation in the 6th edition of the Sharm El-Sheikh Annual Insurance and Reinsurance Forum for 2024, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority. The event took place in Sharm El-Sheikh from November 9 to 11, 2024, under the theme: A Future Vision for the Development of the Insurance Industry.

The Palestinian delegation included Mr. Nihad Asaad, Vice Chairman of the Palestinian Insurance Federation; Mr. Anwar Al-Shanti, Board Member of the Palestinian Insurance Federation; Mr. Naseem Abu Mahmoud, Board Member of the Palestinian Insurance Federation; and Mr. Kaid Mi'ari, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Insurance Federation.

The delegation participated in meetings of the Arab Insurance Union held alongside the conference. Mr. Anwar Al-Shanti represented the Palestinian Federation at the Board of Directors meeting of the Arab Insurance Union, while Mr. Nihad Asaad represented the Federation at the Marine and Aviation Insurance Committee meeting. Mr. Naseem Abu Mahmoud represented the Federation at the meetings of the Motor Insurance Committee and the Unified Arab Offices.

Mr. Kaid Mi'ari, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Insurance Federation, stated that the delegation's participation came in response to an invitation from the Egyptian Insurance Federation and the Arab Insurance Union, aimed at strengthening Palestinian-Arab cooperation in the insurance industry.

Mi'ari also noted that the Federation is working on activating a series of agreements related to knowledge and experience exchange to benefit the insurance industry, as well as to promote insurance awareness and education.

The conference witnessed significant attendance, with more than 1,000 participants representing insurance unions, major insurance and reinsurance companies, and brokerage firms from nearly 30 countries worldwide.
